Getting started
The subsections within a category are called Lines. This article will guide you through the different processes to edit lines. These include: creating new lines, deleting and renaming them, reordering them, and duplicating them.
Note: These steps assume that you've already created a new template, have categories in place, and have accessed the template editor screen. For a step by step guide on creating a new template from scratch go here: The Template editor
Creating new lines
With lines, you get to make them really detailed or short—it's up to you! They can include descriptions, pictures, locations, info text, and comments. You can customize the choices available for these, as well as, pre-select items so that when you start an inspection some items are already filled out. When you make a new line, you just need to give it a name for it to count as valid.
Lines are added within categories, new lines can be added using the blue + Add line button
Deleting and renaming lines
The process of deleting or renaming lines is simple.
To delete or rename a line, click the ellipsis (•••) button for the line you wish to change and select the Delete or Rename option respectively within the menu that appears.
Rearranging lines
Lines can be easily rearranged. To rearrange them in a new order, drag and drop the item you want to move to its new location. Lines can't be moved from one category to another, they can only be moved within its parent category.
Duplicate lines
Lines can be easily duplicated in just a few clicks/taps.
Navigate to the line you need to duplicate, click/tap the ellipsis (•••) button and select the Duplicate option. An exact copy of the line will be created and can be modified as needed.
