Q: Why don’t I see ratings for each line?
A: We changed the placement of ratings in Palmtech Complete. Instead of rating the entire line you can now be more specific and rate your comments. You can even pre-assign a rating to a comment. This allows you to add more than one rating per line when there are different comments displaying only the relevant comments in the rating summary.
Q: How do I mark something as Not Available (NA)?
A: Palmtech Complete doesn’t require an NA rating.
Lines which aren't filled with information don't appear in the final inspection report. If you prefer to see Categories as completed the line can be easily deleted, removing the need to mark it as Not Applicable every inspection.
Items which aren't regularly used during your inspections can be marked as Optional, leaving them out of the inspection unless added with a single click. To read more about Optional lines and categories read the following article: Optional lines and categories
Q: How do I add another ______ ?
A: Instead of recording all of the details of each room, when you find an issue, you can now indicate where the issue is with the location. This allows you to show a Maintenance issue in the Master Bath shower and call out a leak defect in the 1st floor Guest Half bath without recording all of the different details of each.
If you prefer to inspect bathrooms separately, you can add another bathroom by tapping Add Category and choosing Bathroom from the Standard Category List.
Q: How can I edit inspection fees?
A: You can have different fees for different inspection types and services, fees are easy to create and modify. Different price points for the same service (like a home inspection) can be created. If needed, you can also add custom charges or discounts to a service.
To learn more about Services read the following article: Services
Q: How do I edit Ratings?
A: With Palmtech Complete you aren't limited to one set of ratings for all your templates. You can create different sets of ratings for your different templates. Read a more detailed explanation on creating and editing ratings here: Customizing templates > Ratings
Q: How do I save templates with pre-filled information?
A: There are times you may want to save certain information in your templates to save time in the field while writing the report. With Palmtech Complete this is as easy as creating a new template, selecting (or filling) the field with the information you want, and publishing the template for use.

Q: How do I edit my PDF settings?
A: The appearance of the PDF version of the report is modified within the Report Settings section of the Portal. The following article provides more information on how to edit these settings: Report Settings
Q: How do you add merge fields to agreements?
A: Merge fields are called Placeholders in Palmtech Complete. Placeholders are a fantastic way to make your inspection agreement more personal while saving time.

Q: Who do you use for payments?
A: We work with Guardian Inspection Payments which has been in the field for over 20 years and specializes in working with home inspectors. Guardian offers competitive rates. In fact, if you currently use a processor and Guardian can’t beat their rates, they will pay you $500.
Q: Can I use a different payment processor/3rd party processor?
A: Yes - you can use any payment processor you choose. The advantage of using Guardian Inspection Payments is that it fully integrates into your workflow within Palmtech Complete. You will be able to track payments within the portal and mobile app. You can even send payment requests on-site before starting your inspections if they haven’t paid yet.
Q: Why should I use Palmtech for payments?
A: Payment integration is seamlessly incorporated into the inspection workflow, saving time and effort. Payment requests are generated and sent out automatically, while the system monitors the payment status for each inspection. Additionally, Guardian provides very favorable rates for you, while ensuring your clients benefit from a rapid and secure method to settle their payments.
Q: What are the rates/fees for accepting payments through Palmtech (Guardian)?
A: The rates are very competitive with no setup or monthly fees. Credit card transactions are as low as 2.69%. Guardian is committed to beating your current rate. In the rare event they're unable to do so, they're willing to offer you a payment of $500.

Q: Why did you remove the one-time purchase option and move entirely to a subscription?
A: The landscape of the software industry and the Internet have undergone significant transformations throughout the years. Subscriptions have empowered us to deliver ongoing services and quicker more meaningful software updates, in turn this provides you with a better quality of service.
Q: Why are only some of the images I added to a line showing up in the report summary?
A: Palmtech Complete focuses on better report readability for users. When you add informational pictures at the line level, they aren't included in the report summary. To include a picture in the report summary, such as pictures that are related to findings, they should be added to comments with ratings.
